On the TTT Main Hub I recently looked at over 100 strikers (and attackers who score goals), and studied their league performance in terms of xG conversion per shot.

In other words, on average, looking at their overall over or underperformance, and dividing by the number of shots taken.

Overall, Florian Wirtz ranked way up in 5th, but for him I’d included European data too, to give him a bigger sample size, not least as he only really got started in 2020, while others went back to 2017 when the data begins.

So I decided to extend the sample size for the other 30 best finishers, to see if it improved or harmed their data, and to see who came out top. Guess what?
