All season I've said that the most important players for Liverpool – if not necessarily the best – were the peak-age players; the ones who, it turned out, mostly missed months of the campaign.
All were aged 23-25 last autumn, and another was duly signed in January. (Albeit there were others just a bit older and others a bit younger, too.)
But now they are all fit, firing and in some cases, finding new dimensions.
